Little Steps Private Day Nursery comprises of a well-established “Good” Ofsted rating nursery in Birmingham. We are also currently opening another nursery in Northfield Birmingham. We offer consistently exceptional Childcare and Early Education for children aged between 6 weeks to 5 years, and are seeking an enthusiastic, self- motivated and passionate individual to join our successful team.

We are looking for a full-time, term time only, Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Little Steps Nursery. A level 3 qualification or above is essential for this position.

Requirements of Qualified Early Years Practitioner

  • To have a least 1 year’s childcare experience is preferable
  • Minimum of NVQ level 3 in Early Years or childcare/Education
  • Good Knowledge of child development
  • Fun and creative character

  • Caring
  • Good teamwork with practitioners and to work in partnership with our parents

Responsibilities of Qualified Early Years Practitioner

  • Key practitioner responsible for a small key group of children
  • Work with a wider team of practitioners to effectively follow daily routines
  • Provide the children with a safe, secure and home from home environment
  • Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
  • Support children to grow and learn
  • To follow all policies and procedures including a commitment to safeguarding and child protection
